Who is always there for you when you need cheering up?

I know it’s corny but I would have to say my mum - we’ve always been really close and I know that she’ll listen and then give some great advice, a good hug and knows the things I like that’ll cheer me up (mainly good food).

What is your go to playlist for travelling?  

I don’t really have a specific playlist, I more just listen to albums or one artist’s entire works, depending on what I like at that moment in time. I also like podcasts for listening to whilst travelling.

Best moment of 2015?     

Probably getting an unconditional offer to study English Literature and Creative Writing from my second choice (potentially first choice) university - that was pretty cool.

Ideal future profession?

I have wanted to be a writer from a very young age, so achieving that dream would be amazing. Failing that, I would also love to work as an editor of novels.

Favourite teacher/lecturer/professor you’ve ever had?

This is a tough one but I would have to say my current English teacher. She’s great, we can have a laugh and she’s super helpful and supportive whenever you have any problem or query.

Favourite film/play?  

I adore the Importance of Being Earnest - although it’s much better on stage than it is in any of the film versions I have seen. I also love the film Chicago; the use of colour and lighting in terms of mise-en-scene is just so beautiful.

Who would you love to have dinner with? (Alive or dead, be creative kids)

Robin Williams, because he seemed like such a lovely person, Queen Elizabeth II, because she is awesome especially considering she’s nearly 90, and William Shakespeare, to question him on why he wrote everything in iambic pentameter. Writing isn’t easy anyway, why make it so much harder?

What is your favourite word? (In each language, if you speak more than one)  

Spasmodic. It just sounds so great and also like it’s made up (it’s not, btdubs).

Top 3 travel destinations?

Greece - specifically the Acropolis, it would be so cool to see that in person.

Vienna - just a place that’s always appealed to me

New Zealand - I went once before when I was 11 and fell in love with the country - it’s just so beautiful.

What couldn’t you live without?  

My friends and family, and also a goal or something to do. I get bored very easily.
