Probably my most recommended for people getting into BL for the first time. It's always just going to be on its own level not just for the show itself but for the experience of watching it and the community of people I met because of it!
Another one of my favorite viewing experiences and probably the Thai BL I have rewatched the most! Splitting the show into two separate arcs could have gone really poorly but it worked so well for me! You really get to focus on each couple and I found both of their stories cathartic in different ways. And Rain will always be my lil guy forever and ever.

Boss Kuno is the GOAT. Visually breathtaking. There are shots I still think about from this show all the time. Emotionally destroyed me (highly positive). The tension! Being young and in love and having every single feeling be the biggest one you've ever felt!

This show has my whole heart. And actually one of the ones I tend to recommend to anyone looking for more queer media- BL or otherwise. It's a weird little show and the concept is fun to sell people on. Unicorn who transes your gender with a dash of hunger games. James as Love gives such a tender and thoughtful performance. Nadao was really cooking with this one.
Why R U aired in Spring of 2020. People talk about what lockdown media lodged itself in their brains- this was mine. Domundi's first swing at a full BL series after being mostly a travel vlog channel. Filming got interrupted due to the lockdown. It was: a hot mess. I was obsessed. Ginny talked in her post about Kinnporsche being a show that had people asking "You can do that??" and Why R U was that show for me. I had seen other BL before this but this was horny on a level I had not yet experienced. I don't know how many times I rewatched the FighterTutor sauna scene even though inevitably SaifahZon would have my heart.

I had a hard time deciding on this last one because I felt like it was important to include a ~2017 BL in here. They were foundational and they really had their own flavor. I could have done a Love Sick or a Love By Chance or a SOTUS but tbh I landed on Together With Me because I love Yihwa so much. It's soapy it's messy and it's fun! I did watch all of Bad Romance and Together With Me: The Next Chapter. Which honestly I think is maybe not a starter pack recommendation but I think a worthwhile Thai BL experience. You could also do a Kiss Me Again > Dark Blue Kiss or a Puppy Honey 1 & 2 for the BL side pairing to main couple trajectories. There are simply so many QLs happening now and I do sometimes get a little nostalgic for these shows I maybe wouldn't have watched if I had 40 other options like now. But I did watch them because they were 1 of 5 BLs airing that year.
