It felt like there had been an undeniable shift. Not only in the atmosphere at Hogwarts, which felt like it was growing with intensity as the days drew on, but one among those heâd once considered friends. Though Jackson wouldnât consider him a close friends like his band of raven claws were, the pair still had held a friendly rivalry of sorts. After all theyâd spent enough time as reserves lingering on the side lines of the quidditch pitch bartering at one another. Jackson throwing sarcastic comments, statics and how logically hufflepuff didnât stand a chance. Though it had always entertained the raven haired boy how the other had easily matched his comments.Â
But now? Things felt different. Though Jackson may stay on the side lines, he was a keen observer. And it hadnât missed his eyes that Thor was starting to integrate himself into a different crowd. One that was commonly known to heckle and harass him. It seemed odd, worryingly so. A part of him wanted to believe that he was just over analyzing. But it wasnât a one time occurrence; which truly was the most disconcerting. Though Jackson tried not to jump to conclusions, they were friends. Werenât they? Thinking, Thor couldnât really be spending time with people like that willingly, could he? Besides it wasnât like heâd had a chance to catch and speak to the other, truthfully though more because he was avoiding it. Especially because really, Jackson wasnât dim. His gut instincts typically held truth.Â
Heâd headed down to the quidditch pitch, figuring that it could offer a little sanctum away from the boisterous hallways. Maybe even he could catch a quiet moment to himself, fly, read, analyse others flying technique. But when heâd found his way to the green grounds, he wasnât as alone as heâd hoped. He recognized the boyâs stature almost instantly, Thorfinn. Wearily he approached, brows knitting together lightly. The other looks so deep in thought, he didnât want to startle him.
