He was always so damn chipper. “Don’t tell me you actually want to go out tonight?”   Niall may have been Marcel’s best friend since primary school, his only friend really, but the urge to murder him got stronger with each passing day. “Why did you give my number to some guy you work with?” Marcel blurted out, completely ignoring Niall’s question.

“Oh Marcey,” Niall said, his voice getting softer, but still loud because it was Niall after all. Marcel rolled his eyes at the nickname. It was something Niall picked up from Marcel’s mum and he hated it. “Louis is a really nice guy and he’s exactly your type. I thought you’d be up for it.”

Or the one where Niall gave Marcel’s number to someone he worked with and Marcel wasn’t too pleased about it.

Companies like LexCorp think they run the world. Louis does not think that anybody in particular runs the world; the world is a mess that no one is above, not even Lex Luthor, CEO and scion and heir to the empire, billionaire and genius. He’s walked around Metropolis like some kind of superhuman since Louis can remember, since they were both kids growing up in the city.

Nobody is superhuman. Everybody has a weakness. You just have to be persistent enough to find it. Louis cannot wait.

When Louis is dared to ask out the attractive Man in the Sweater Vest at the pub, he certainly doesn't expect their relationship to bloom the way it does. Featuring a dare that isn't really a dare, too many vegetable references, and two silly boys falling in love.

Deep, deep down, Louis knows Niall hadn’t meant to do this. He knows that this really was a last minute conundrum Louis had found himself in. Louis could’ve muddled the dates just as easily as Niall could have misremembered them. This hurts for other, more difficult reasons.

This hurts because it was supposed to be Louis’ honeymoon.

Louis meets Marcel at the lowest point of his life. A few poorly timed jokes, and a cigarette (or twelve) later, Louis starts to think love’s not a sham after all.

And now he’s going to have to sleep in his freezing cold flat knowing he may as well have ruined Christmas.

12: Is your writing space clean or cluttered?

Not cluttered, but I might not go so far as to say ‘clean.’ I like writing in cozy places, like on the couch or in bed. (As I consider this, it might be because most of the other places I could write are cluttered and that is not good for my creativity.) 

36: Do you write with a black and white sense of morality?

Not usually, no. In fact, in the fic I’m currently writing, I’m purposefully trying to shape the Big Moral Choice such that even the most ethical option has some considerable negative consequences.
