Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major
I really liked this one! To be fair; based on the preview, I knew I would. Comedy and Comedy-Adjacent Ghosts are a pretty sure fit for me: I love both Ghosts and Not Dead Yet.
I liked her going to Ireland for music purposes. In music I feel like it's probably taking what you can get and that's a heck of an opportunity if you need to get away from the pressing weight of grief. I do have minor beef with no one in Ireland - a heavily catholic country - being able to say Gethsemane but also I hope we get more backstory on her name(I haven't read the books yet but I've added them to my list). Loved Eamon; his monologues to the characters that couldn't hear him in the first bit endeared me to him. I probably would have utilized him more for spying purposes (at the very end when he finally played the piano as a distraction I had been yelling "PLAY THE DAMN PIANO" for like three minutes) but they're new at this.
I called the whodunnit pretty quick just based on the fact that it's Hallmark and they really have tiring ideas about romantic love being the only kind, but that's okay I still enjoyed the turnabout and the little hints throughout.
Love Interest-wise I prefer the detective to the teacher because it's Hallmark so it's always going to be the law enforcement in the end (also because: accent). But my dumb ass spent the first half of the movie thinking that Billy was one of the love interests and I was rooting for him because he was the cutest but WHATEVER. Griff is hot and everything but his teeth are too perfect and it scares me.
LOVED the scenery, gonna have to look up what part of vancouver it was filmed in.
Excited for more movies in this series. They had too fun of a rapport so I knew Eamon would come back because he made a friend who needs his murder solved and I was RIGHT HAH.
