I think this is even worse given how I’ve developed my writing skills mostly by writing artistic prose, not scientific works. I am genuinely afraid that people may think I asked a bot to generate my damn MA thesis not only because of the punctuation, but also the style being a bit more “flowery” than in many other articles.

by the way, every work uploaded into the archive is checked with an anti-plagiarism tool. It’s been so for years. A normal thing. However, I am afraid that nowadays that tool might as well check the “AI-ness” of the text while being AI itself— which effectively means somebody might be feeding other people’s works to a bot. If this is true... well, I have considered becoming a lecturer my plan C or D for a future career path, but that would make me abandon this idea altogether. Mind you that my field of study is a niche one (which baffles me, but that’s a separate story).

Unfortunately I cannot pin more than one post, and I don’t want to make the intro one overlong, but I need to say something. Maybe I’ll just send a link to this post every time it’s needed.

Y’all, art requests are fine. However, there are some rules:

• Let’s stick to the fandoms I know and care about. The Beholder series and Papers Please are obvious, but any fandom that appears on my blog (even once) is most likely okay.

• Categorically no art requests related to NSFW topics, any real-life religion, or politics of any real-life country.

• No shippy or sexually suggestive requests either, regardless of the fandom, canon-ness of the ship, gender of the character(s), and other circumstances. Yes, I do draw this kind of content sometimes— for myself and my friends, when I feel like it. No, I don’t have anything against the very idea of shipping fictional characters and/or drawing them in suggestive contexts. That doesn’t mean I’m comfortable with drawing such stuff at someone else’s request, especially a stranger’s.

• These are requests, not art commissions. I don’t get paid for drawing, and I don’t owe anyone anything.
