Here is some of the first page of this dungeon meshi smut oneshot I made about dwarf Laios and half-foot Marcille. I worked at high dpi in monoshrome and then downscaled on export for that authentic scannilation moire aesthetic. It was really facinating to closely study Ryoko Kui's incredibly powerful art, although I mostly focused on character rendering and neglected studying backgrounds or page compositions for b&w art in this style, so I think the overall comic suffers a bit for it. Aside from the value of the study itself, I'm not sure the ink and tone pass added a whole lot more to the sketch pass.
