After spending the morning exploring Alcatraz Sunday afternoon was spent driving to Yosemite. The journey itself was brilliant with so much beautiful scenery, especially once you got into the foothills! As I missed the turn for Merced I came into Yosemite along the 120, aka Big Oak Flat Road and this view greeted me as I turned a corner in the road. Unsurprisingly there’s a viewing point on the corner and it’s called ‘Half Dome View’!
