it was no secret that simon had let most of his high school friendships drop as he moved on to college, trying to create a BRAND for himself that wasn’t weighed down by the labels he once carried. but that didn’t mean there wasn’t a damn thing he wouldn’t do for diana meade, not even now, after who knows how many years. he was almost positive that the brunette had let the words slip by accident, the phrase “i’m pregnant” bubbling up until she couldn’t keep it in any longer, but simon didn’t care. arms wrapped around tight around her, head resting on top of hers, he wasn’t sure how long they’d been standing there. it could have been seconds or HOURS, the time blending all the same. “it’s OKAY,” simon finally mumbled, still not letting go of the embrace. “whatever you need, i’m here. you don’t have to do this ALONE.”

who starts putting up decorations in october? neither, but there’s probably that one time, around a year and a half ish after diana adopts petra, where petra’s just dyyyyiinngg to put up christmas decorations bc it’s actually something she gets to look forward to for the first time.who buys the advent calendars? diana gets them and they both open at the same time everyday.who places mistletoes all around the house? neither, lmao. but if there was a guy in diana’s life that needed a little push to happen petra might put one up.who wraps the presents for other people? diana and petra do it together. who puts the final star/angel on the top of the christmas tree? diana lets petra most of the time, sometimes petra insists that her mom does it. who’s the one that hates eggnog? ummm i have no idea :)) i’m not even entirely sure what it tastes like and i can’t really tell from google :))who’s the one that bakes christmas cookies for guests? they tried one time, and then… who needs baking when there are lots of cookies in the store anyway :)))who sends out the christmas cards? diana? who knows all the words to twelve days of christmas? diana, and eventually petra eotiu :)who’s the better snowman builder?           ever since she got home she’d hid in her room to avoid getting in trouble but the moment diana comes home and finds her she knows she can’t avoid it forever. “ i didn’t mean to throw my book at taffyta and tell her her name was as stupid as her face, i swear! ” the ten year old blurts out, defending herself. she didn’t know how much the teacher told her but she had to do something. “ she called me dumb and everyone started laughing at me! i just did it to shut her up! ” she rambles on getting worked up. honestly, she can’t help it. she’d been removed from so many homes, she doesn’t want to leave this one. the small girl takes a breath. “ please don’t give me back.. i’ll be good.. i promise.. ” ( @halfblackwell gets wrecked. )
