#haleb proposal

Hopefully something along the lines of this:

Hanna was grumpy. She knew Caleb was trying to be romantic when he said they should start their date night by meeting at their favourite teenage hang out. But she wished he had told her the plan BEFORE she had put on her tightest black dress and her most expensive stilettos. They really weren’t made for walking through parks. 

Caleb better be there already, she thought to herself, if he wasn’t, she would be mad. Hanna turned the corner, cursing aloud as she pulled her heel out of the mud and when she looked up, her mouth dropped.

Hundreds of twinkling lights were wrapped around their favourite old swing set, and lanterns were dangling from the frame. Candles were dotted around the park and white petals were scattered in a path leading her towards Caleb. He was sitting on one of the swings, in his best suit, fiddling with the chains nervously as he watched Hanna’s face, gaging her reaction. He stood up slowly and straightened his jacket.

This was the spot where they’d spent so many late nights, where they came to think, where they fought, where they shared their secrets and where they’d gotten to know each other. 

“Caleb,” Hanna whispered, unable to say anything else.
