2025 season... it says Rays

When the Tampa Bay Rays didn't have a usable stadium in which to play for the 2025 season because of damage done by the hurricane, Hal Steinbrenner offered up the Yankees spring training facility, George M. Steinbrenner Field, for them to play their home games. He wasn't asked to do it. He said that he did it because he felt that it was his civic duty. I respect that, however; he also charged them $15 million dollars for the use of the field. That's some rather expensive civic duty, but at least they have a home field. 😁🤣 As soon as spring training was over, the Rays changed every logo, including the small tiles in the pools. The only thing that they weren't allowed to change was the name of the field, and they had to keep the giant statue of George M. Steinbrenner at the front doors. It must be a little weird for my boys to have to use the visitors' locker room while playing the Rays during the season, but they agreed to do so. I really like the sportsmanship that both teams have exhibited!! The Rays put up a huge sign thanking the Yankees for the use of the facility!! I like that a lot!! Very classy!! Let's go, Yankees!!!!! ⚾️ ❤️
