people thoughts about satanism is genuinely horrible because ppl IMMEDIATELY assume “oh it’s a cult you worship the devil blah blah blah” like NO??? I hate when people do ZERO research and then just…Try to gaslight you about it??

Then when you explain it(it’s more of a philosophy thing than believing in satan/God)

They go “URM NO! I know more about this than you do even tho the only thing Ik about it is christians beliefs around it!!”

(this works for paganism/witches too btw)

And then when I explain that it’s an ATHEISTIC religion (obviously there’s theistic Satanism but Yk)

all I get is “mm well no cuz it’s SATANism so you must sacrifice sheep and shit”
