i gave my boy a fresh coat of paint for this tournament!

There were some things about his design that had been bugging me, like his tail and underneath the hat not having any cerata show and the fact that he had a nose. Why have one of those things underwater when you could just have a funny little snout? Also, I wanted to show why he was deserving of the name "Kaleido".
And his last name is "Anadoni", after "Babakina Anadoni"
Okay so turns out I've just had this sitting in my folders for a few months, looks like I really did have something for soon!
This and a few other works was going to be part of his propaganda, but that obviously didn't happen. Maybe I'll post them sometime too.

EDIT: Just realized i can use this as a way to say that on the blog ver of my account there's a page where I'll be posting some info about these sea slug guys! Currently just Kaleido's info is filled in, but there'll be more soon.

I hope it's not in poor taste to make so long after the main poll, but I put a lot of effort in and wanted to at least have something to show for it. Featuring Kairos, character by @amxthystiine who was my opponent in the @original-character-championship. (sorry for tagging you both so much)
It's supposed to be a comic explaining why there wasn't any crossover art, while the actual reason is procrastination + life in the way, I thought I'd make up for it somehow. I wish I had the energy to color and refine this, but I just want to move on at this point. Also, the whole time Kaleido is reminiscing, he's supposed to be sitting in a chair.
Page 1:
Interviewer (I): "So, how do you feel about getting past round 1?"
Kaleido (K): "Pretty good, I guess. Must've been my "natural charm", ha ha."
(K): "Though...I never met my opponent. (Not properly, at least.)"
(I) "Really? What kept you?"
(K): " W e l l . . . "
Page 2:
DAY 1:
"Rauthaz wanted to learn how to make crab cakes. I didn't think it would take long, but I haven't been that wrong in a long time."
DAY 2:
"Ura wanted to investigate an old metal ruin. Naturally, I forbid her from going on her own. So she ran off anyway! Spent the whole damn day chasing after her."

"Xanthos...agh, I don't even want to talk about it."
DAY 4:
"Saf stole my hat out of spite! Couldn't go without it."
DAY 5:
"Chlor got chased by 'old friends' again. Wild mess that was! Didn't want to show up all torn-up, so y'know, I no-showed..."

"Honestly, I don't have a good excuse. I was just tired. It also didn't help to get assailed by the weirdest hallucinations...I could hardly sleep!"

(K): "So yep, that's my story. Never met 'im."

(K): "Oh? I can still do that? Then sure, why not-"

oh god tumblr's compression is awful and it's even more noticeable on sketches
well, this is the WIP I've been alluding to, though I've still got 2 more pages to finish! the text now too small to read reads "(random interviewer"

you know it's funny that the story I'm working on with the sea slug characters is the one non-horror story I've got despite the ocean being like the worst thing ever (no I don't have thalassophobia but you are insane if you don't think deep sea ocean pictures are just horrific)
