The girl in front of him had been swaying somewhat unsteadily, so Yu had called out to her in concern – what he didn’t expect was for the girl to topple over completely, slumping motionlessly to the ground.
Yu knelt down next to her, placing a tentative hand on her shoulder and giving her a little shake. Was she sick? Maybe it was a fainting spell from the recent heat wave? At least she didn’t look like she’d hit her head on the way down – at least, he hoped not. “Uh, are you alright? Should I call 119...?” The last part was mumbled mostly to himself. He was already pulling out his phone with his other hand, thinking to call the emergency number if the girl didn’t stir or respond within the next couple of moments.
