48+49/100 days of productivity [03/11/17 + 03/12/17] This weekend was the 2nd annual Immerse-a-thon, so the whole weekend gets one post because it might has well have been only one very long day for me. The event started at 8am on Saturday, and ended at 7pm Sunday. My friend and I spent almost that entire time in the event room working on our project. We did leave for about an hour, but only to go pick up an important installation disk that got left at home, and we grabbed some blankets and pillows while we were at it, because we knew we weren't going to leave again until it was over. We gave up working around 4am, and took a break until about 8:30-9:00 to sleep. We had to stop coding at 5pm Sunday, and we managed to finish working on our project 10 till 5. We spent a good 24 hours working on our project, and we actually managed to get everything done that we wanted to. All our hard work payed off though: we won the student division of the competition! There was only one other student team, but that's still quite an accomplishment. We won't know until Friday after next who wins the whole thing, but we know that we at least got second pace, which is more than what I was expecting.
