"Remember Lamb, this is a sneaking mission."
A bit of a funny combo fanart between Metal Gear Solid and Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades.
Also one of the most complex illustrations I've done in a while, very happy with the background.

See the thing about H3VR is that it's probably the most in-depth firearms simulator I'm aware of, but also most of the enemies are animate sausages with silly voices, that make dick jokes and wield extremely low-detail cartoony guns compared to the player's hyper-realistic ones.
In H3VR's Meat Fortress mode, you can build Sentry Guns and Dispensers (but not Teleporters, not yet anyways) just like in TF2, only instead of carrying around toolboxes, you instead deploy them by using the game's Tippy Toys, which are based on real-life deer calls. Enemy Engineer NPCs won't build these kinds of turrets, though, instead constructing a TF2-styled version of the base game's Turburgert. As you can see, they're quite small compared to the standard Sentry Gun.
Each of the buildings come in three varieties: RED (which attacks those on the BLU team), BLU (which attacks those on the RED team), and Gray (which attacks members of both), so there are six Tippy Toys in total, and the funny thing is the labels on each toy gives each building a name. Now, this is also the case for every other toy in the game, with such examples being "Fred the Pig" or "Otis the Sheep" or "Darren the Dead Fish". However, this personification of the Engineer's buildings predates the whole Mimi Sentry trend that happened in early 2023 by nearly four years, and I'm surprised no artist has used them for their own creations.
Anyways, for RED, we have Scarlett and Denny. For BLU, we have Sapphire and Della. And finally, for Gray, we have Slate and Duffy. Look at that, they're alliterative too! Isn't that clever? I wonder what they'll come up with for the Teleporters.
Figured out how to take screenshots from SteamVR, so uh. Here's me holding the TF2 pistol in H3VR.
