H. bates
H. bates have the largest 'herd' numbers of all three mantoda species. They're defined by often having a reddish hue, and being broader than ahyemalis, and less stocky than nivalis.
These are also a close second to being the largest! nivalis on average is larger, especially in mass- but often in height. However not uncommonly are some bates taller than nivalis- male bates are in fact often longer than nivalis (excluding bull male nivalis)
bates often have more strict social norms- especially when it comes to clothing items that cover the fatty part of the tail. bates also have some of the more flashy ceremonial practices!
