I’ve had an amaryllis bulb for about four years and it still gives me about three blooms every year and paperwhites are so pretty I hope they all do well for you!
Do you keep them in pots or are they in the ground? I might try keeping them in pots and see how the do.
The paperwhites I'll probably plant, because I have some in the yard and they come up every year. They haven't flowered since I put them in the ground, but I suspect they were forced.

You are who you are in this present moment. You don’t have to be any certain thing. What defines you now is how you life your life now. Don’t doubt yourself. You are wonderful. Just simply being is enough. <3
thank you. i really needed to be reminded of this. i'm being rather silly about things, just one of those days i guess. <3
Thank you for your comment. That is always how I have seen the cultural appropriation topic, however it is very difficult to deal with in the case that someone of the people referenced is offended. So far, I have not had anyone of that particular ethnic group message me about it. It has only been white people who are trying to make everyone aware of cultural appropriation.
Exactly. I've gotten so much hate for doing the things I do just because my skin color is white. I'm sorry, but how ridiculous is that? It's absurd, and it actually hurts my feelings. I can't help that my skin color happens to be a lighter shade than others, just like others can't help that there's is darker. It's a PHYSICAL appearance, a mere shell. It says nothing. And by limiting others because of their cultural background and physical structure, this world is being looked at through an "us" and "them" perspective, when in reality, we are all one source and unified entity. Most people have not even heard of the term. I, myself, had never heard of it until tumblr, where I think it is mainly magnified and presented as being a "problem." But out of all the things to focus our energy on, we choose to bash on others for living the way they'd like? Yes, some people utilize others' cultures as merely a fashion statement, but it's more than likely just a phase and it will pass, so in the meantime, just let them be instead of making them feel like complete and utter shit for it. Cultural appropriation is completely stemmed from the ego and contributes nothing but negativity, which we already have enough of. What is "culture" anyway. I'm not culture you're not culture, so who is? No one. None of us are culture itself. It is simply a term given to a collective lifestyle, and I refuse to limit myself and my experiences because of the opinion that few others have about it being supposedly offensive. It's only offensive if you allow it to be, and not everyone thinks it is. For example, My sister has dreadlocks and one day while she was at work a black man went up to her and complimented them and couldn't stop talking about how much he admired them. So what does that tell us? I understand that some of us who are trying to raise awareness about it are trying to be helpful, but really we are just feeding into the negativity and prolonging the divisions and borders we are trying so very hard to demolish in the first place.
Anyway, sorry to go off on a rant. I hope I helped somewhat. Much love to you <3
