More Headcanons while I stay busy packing for my move, it's a little rushed do to me being busy 😅 but It's essentially a rough draft
Okay so, we already kinda meet Gwen's friends by picture. Anyways, they definitely stayed up to date on Total Drama while Gwen was still on the show ( world tour ). So they're on the up and up with her relationship with Duncan. And they're completely on her side from the get go. As you remember from pt 1, Gwen suffered bad harassment after World Tour aired and she was sent home. ( Online and offline) Because of this, Gwen's friends didn't hesitate to have her back and defend her when necessary. Which was practically everyday at school. People singing "Boyfriend kisser" whenever she passed them in the hall, and quite a few "Courtney Stans" throwing swears her way. But her squad stayed on it and emotionally/physically stood by her side through it. They weren't going to abandon her at such a vulnerable time in her life.
So school and whatnot aside, Gwen introduces Duncan to her friends at a goth dungeon that she invites Duncan to attend. He feel out of his element, but goes anyway. Once there with Gwen's gang, he clicks with them immediately and they all share quite a few stories and laughs. Getting a group of goths to smile is apparently a good sighn. ( Gwen's words to Duncan. Anyways they start hanging out often at the mall, movie theater and restaurants.
So this is where things get complicated, Duncan obviously doesn't hang around the best of people, not because he particularly enjoys their personalities, but more so their company. Other trouble making teens. When Duncan returns "home" he immediately goes to kick it with his punk and skater friends. All of which like Gwen's friends; cheered him on from home. Eventually one of them brought up Gwen, congratulating Duncan on his "New Girl". With Duncan correcting him by clarifying she was his "New and Only Girl". Needless to say they get caught up on how much Duncan really cares about her with just that sentence alone. Afterwards the topic switches abruptly, after all it's not like any of them are that close...
So we all know over the seasons Gwen and Duncan made allies and friends throughout the TD seasons. In part one I already mentioned Trent forgiving and befriending Gwen. So firstly, because obviously; Leshawna is basically Gwen's permanent BFF. They live in separate cities, but video chat, call and text, almost every other day. Gwen's old friends know of her from the show but haven't met or talked to her yet. There's also DJ and Bridget. Bridget of course also far away, but sometimes videochats or plays games online with Leshawna, Harold (dating Leshawna) and Gwen.
Meanwhile Duncan is not only close with Geoff, who actually flew out to see him once for a punk rave, but also Zoey!!! ( in my AU there's no Allstars,) a fun red headed indie kid/slash aspiring film director. She use to be a victim of severe bullying, but after helping Duncan out of trouble once, he got to know her and more about her life. Once finding out about her harassment problem; he was quick to step in. Putting a cease to it. They quickly became friends and later on Zoey even met Gwen and soon became her friend as well. Afterwards they all began making plans with another as a trio, even making plans for Lashawna to catch the train with Harold, to eventually join them.
