The movies exaggerate, the storybooks lie, and the world seems to be engrossed in them.

It's kind of annoying when these girls on facebook expect their man to be "perfect" in the sense that he has to be the type to always bring flowers, never make sass, and mysteriously show up outside her window play old 80s tunes on a boombox. What's wrong with just merely enjoying each other's company? What's wrong with appreciating that person for who they are, perfections and flaws alike? Sure, sometimes he's going to be an ass, and other times he'll forget things you thought he'd remember but he's human too. Those moments should make you appreciate him for his humanity and even more so for the moments when everything seems absolutely pristine. Yeah, there's moments where I may sass back because of certain things, but that doesn't mean I don't love him with everything I have for everything he is.
