Today’s Ultra Trivia:

While it was never stated in the TV show, Ultraman X’s Alien Fanton Guruman does have a backstory that’s revealed in reading material instead. 

It’s said that he among many Fantons were forced to leave their home planet due to a heavy food crisis and wandered around space. However the Ultra Flares affected their flight, and their spaceship crash landed on Earth, somewhere in Mexico. Locals persecuted the Fanton out of fear, but they were eventually rescued by UNVER’s predecessor and would later cooperate with the humans.
