In my opinion guizhong/zhongli was one sided. guizhong saw zhongli as a close friend. guizhong and ping were the real deal. although the “dispute” at the beginning between them we can clearly see that they bonded deeply through music and their shared love for mechanical creations.

Note that the colours representing ping and guizhong are blue/gold which are also complementary colours. on top of that glaze lilies have blue petals(ping) and a golden core(guizhong). the description says that

“Legend has it that the flower will open at the sound of pure, beautiful music, and that there was once one who loved this flower more than any other.”
