Idk if you’ve been asked this already, but how would Gullytuft react if she did find out Mudpaw was her nephew? Would she try to be in his life more?

The fact Gullytuft is Mudpaw's aunt is so interesting to me. I feel like she must not know just based on how she treats him. Which if so, there's like so much family drama just under her nose. Makes me even more sad for Mudpaw too
She definitely doesn't know!! At least not consciously. I think she subconsciously realizes that Mudpaw looks really similar to her brother, and that's an additional reason for her to avoid engaging with him
Gullytuft is officially a wine aunt. That is sure to create potential for an interesting dynamic between her and Mudpaw
Only if they find out about their family relation! I imagine Birchspeckle's explanation to Mudpaw about his past was kinda vague when it comes to the details, so maybe he only knows that his housecat mother died in a fire/snowstorm incident and his rogue father gave him to micaclan so he would have a chance to survive the winter. Maybe he knows his father was a former micaclan cat, but not his name or anything else about him! That would leave room for Mudpaw to do a little investigating about Possum, which could be fun! cue the 'we don't talk about bruno' music video with mudpaw asking all the cats of micaclan about who possum is and what he was like HAHA
If he finds out that Gullytuft of all cats is his aunt, he'd have no idea how to approach talking to her. Maybe he wouldn't talk to her, too weirded out by the knowledge of them being related when she barely even looks at him, maybe even looks at him less than most of his other clanmates.
If/when Gullytuft does find out, she wouldn't be able to look at Mudpaw without seeing all the similarities to Possum. I think she subconsciously already knows they look pretty similar, and as a result does her level best to never look at him with anything other than peripheral vision, for fear of Experiencing An Actual Emotion. If she manages to get over that, though, she'd probably quietly hover and try to do helpful things from a distance. she gets hawkpaw to report to her how mudpaw is doing HAHA. I can imagine Mudpaw coming back from harvesting some materials for Owlpounce and her being like "Gullytuft left you a mouse :)" and mudpaw being like. excuse me she did what

How would different members of the clan (especially Gullytuft) react to seeing Possum in their territory? Would they chase him out or just give him a warning to stay back?
I'm gonna answer this for Gullytuft in particular! I think her reaction would be super different depending on if she were alone when seeing Possum, or if she were with a patrol. If she were on patrol and she had clanmates with her, she would likely be subdued, but still try to run him off the territory (especially if the clanmates with her were too young to remember him/were old enough to remember and hold a grudge).
If she were alone, I think she would walk with him, and talk, and try to understand why he left. She'd probably shout at him, and get angry at him for leaving, and finally express some of what she's been feeling for the past few years. She would have a lot of emotions about it, and for once, she wouldn't feel like she had to keep them contained. She still loves her brother, after all this time, but with that love is an equal amount of betrayal and anger, for leaving her, for leaving the clan, for leaving her with her clanmates suspicion for those first few months after he left. Possum leaving her life had a massive impact on her, and I think she would look for some way to make peace with it or get some sort of closure.
I know you already say the story would not be focused on love interests and things like that (which I actually love and find very refreshing) but I need to know… thoughts on Larkstar x Gullytuft?
I always imagine Larkstar to be the type that's "married to the job" ya know? tbh I usually think of her (more so than the rest of my characters lol) as somewhere on the aro spectrum! Also, there's a not insignificant gap in their ages, so idk!! Currently in the story they are both adults but I think it has the potential to be weird, considering Larkstar was already an establish warrior and leader when Gullytuft was born :/ idk they're also cats so maybe it's fine lol
If they were to get together, I think they would actually end up being a... kind of unhealthy couple. Both Gullytuft and Larkstar are very bad at expressing their emotions, and both of them have unresolved trauma that they're just sitting on, so!! I think they would end up accidentally hurting each other in the end :( there would be a fatal lack of communication!!
although the combined girlpower........... it would be a sight to behold
You once mentioned that Gullytuft used to be as silly as Sandleap before her brother left the clan. What would Possum think of her if he saw her now?
I think he'd be a bit sad, but would understand completely. He would think that, sometimes, growing up means letting go of those parts of you that are carefree and open in order to survive what the world throws at you. After all, the life of a rogue is many things, but easy is not one of them.
