it wasn't often that he wandered from his post, but sometimes magic and might both inside of him would briefly shock him into another world, as if it wanted him to see something, do something, meet someone, save a life and risk his own. once upon a time, someone had compared his recklessness to that of an ancient hero - a boy named sora. ( he couldn't argue then, & he surely can't now. )
so when he sees that old mansion that he had heard so much about - been told NEVER TO GO NEAR, under any circumstances... he figured he might as well step up to the plate and at least gather some information about it - even if it turned out that it was just crawling with shadows and neoshadows. he might as well provide some valuable intel.
but as he wandered the halls with light foot step, he only sees how... clean it is. how it seemed to be pristine, to be utterly fixed up and perfect. it was haunting, in a manner, and maybe that was because he could feel the magic and heartbeat coursing through the tiles and floorboards, which made him realize that someone lives here.
so when he finds a room with the door recently moved, he steps in with a warm smile, saying such words that he believes would ease the concern of someone the person doesn't know barging into their living space. "Sorry, did that come across as too strong? I just wanted to seem like I knew what was going on." he laughs, and the sound is eerily reminiscent of windchimes and suncatchers clinking in the breeze.
but he steps in further, and there's a pin decorating the cloak he adorns himself with, one that even for someone as reclusive as namine would be easily recognizable though the design has shifted slightly. ( it was all too similar to a knight's pin, but it looked more glorified, more sanctified, as if he held some measure of rank, despite how young he looks. )
"Let me rephrase... I understand that you live here, right? Do you mind if I keep you company? It looks... lonely, here."
