Drew him in ms paint. I've been doing a lot of still lifes on paper and pencil lately, which is part of why I haven't been posting here much. I did this to see how well my usual method of line-smoothing in paint.net works in ms paint. Seems fine, but I might stick to paint.net. I'm attached to ms paint because I've literally used it my whole life, and I don't like learning to use better but needlessly complicated programs. Paint.net is a good compromise. It works for my simplistic style, for now. Anyway, rant over. Here is Guglug, again.

Now I can't figure out the arm length. Most of the time he has them spread out. I had him put them down and now they look too long. Do I need to be posting all of these? Is this the "Guglug proportion chronicle" blog? Am I just posting my every thought? Who cares? It's my blog! lol

A traced paper drawing. As you can see, I've been experimenting with shading (not to great success, if I'm being honest). I made a New Years resolution to draw every day. Guglug comes up a lot because he's easy to draw and I don't always have a lot of time. And because I can't make up my mind about his proportions, lol.

Thought the last Guglug was too thin. Now I think he's too chubby. I'm still experimenting. I'll get it right. I do like how his expression turned out this time.

Experimenting with Guglug's proportions. Drew him in a notepad once much like the OG prompt, and the arms being above the head bothered me. So I tried making him taller and giving him more of a torso. I've been sketching this guy digitally and on paper for a while now, and I'm starting to think the proportions from my "drew the slime monster again" picture a few posts down might actually be the best one. Still deliberating.
