Hey everyone, meet gtort :)
Hi,
So I have naturally curly hair. Duh. (; I was bald until I was 2. My parents were getting very nervous, and thought that I would never have hair. Needless to say, it grew in fast and furious and in spirals. I'm 22 now, and I've kind-of sort-of come to terms with it. I straighten it once and awhile, it takes about 1.5 hours, I leave it for a few days, but I begin to miss my curls. Straight hair just looks so... boring. Plus I don't feel like me without my curls or recognize myself.
Anyways, my routine is quite simple:
I shower every day, but I only shampoo my hair every other day. I use deep conditioning Mane 'n Tail for my conditioner, and I use Deva Curl Low-Poo for my shampoo. I usually let my conditioner stay in my hair for at least 3-4 minutes to soak through. While the conditioner is in, I finger comb my hair thoroughly. I never use a real comb or a brush. I then rinse with lukewarm water. I always, always put more conditioner in, usually about a half dollar size, and leave it. I squeeze out excess water in the shower. I put a -wait for it- straightening serum (Citre-Shine, found at the dollar store!) in my hair, and then I use an old pillow case or t-shirt to squeeze out the excess water. Then I just give it a good shake, and let it air dry.
Happy curls! :)
