ALRIGHT so Sizeshifters right? We all know em we all love them! I mean who wouldn’t?!? They can be a giant or a tiny whenever you need them to be. BUT WAIT! What about the emotional ones? The ones whose shift based on their emotions? Yeah they’re classic too and we love them just as much. But what if there were other reasons that cause sizeshifters to shift?

Hear me out, a sizeshifter whose size fully depends on what they ate the other day. I don’t mean in the basic sense of if they ate a lot they big and if they ate a little they small, no no. I mean like some foods make them shrink and other foods make the grow. Like You just find them eating a whole bunch of nuts and they just go “nuts make me shrink and I’m trying to avoid going to work tomorrow cause I just don’t want to man” or they start chugging water cause “water it the only thing that balances my size to normal and if I’m not normal sized tomorrow I’m sooooo fucked” etc etc. They try to eat the things they have before cause they know how it effects them the next day, but everyday they are tempted to try that new restaurant but they really don’t want to roll the dice on their height the next day man.

Or what about a sizeshifter whose size is affected by weather? Sunny day? Oh nice normal height! Clouds start rolling in? Uh oh now they’re shrinking. Rain? They’re smaller! Thunderstorm?!? Whelp they’re hella small, and they’re hoping a tornado doesn’t form because that would be actually more terrifying than anything. Snow though? Oh look they get bigger? More snow?!? Even bigger! Full on blizzard?!? People start leaving their cold homes to hide in the now giant’s pockets cause they are way warmer and very spacious at this point. My dude probably has his heads in the clouds…literally!! People eventually just keep tabs on the shifter to see what the weather is like. Clouds forming ahead? Alright are they shrinking or growing cause then they’ll know if it’s rain or snow.

What about a sizeshifter whose size depends on the animal they last seen/interacted with. Yeah usually they’re human sized cause that’s the one they usually see but suddenly touching a dog? Boom now they the height of that dog. A spider decides to crawl onto their back? Boom! They got the same spider problem but now it’s way more serious. They go out to sea and get to touch a whale? Whelp looks like they’re swimming back to shore with a rope tethered to them just in case they bump into a smaller fish and they can’t fit on the boat at the moment.

Coming from a place where the only natural disasters that I ever saw happen were floods and landslides, I'm an absolute FREAK for tornadoes, so much my entire TikTok, Instagram and YouTube fyp are storm chasers videos or videos about tornadoes. Another thing I'm an absolute fucker for is g/t, the size difference, the possible scenarios, world building, relationships, it's all so good you can't possibly have enough of it

So I was living my life and thought, how about I mix both of my interests?

We have two options(that I thought of) either a borrower over hearing a tornado Siren through the walls and doesn't have nowhere else to go, no place they can run to and secure their safety because they live in the middle of a metropolis, so he'd have try to sneak into the bunker. What if they try to sneak in but the human ends up seeing them anyways, what would happen? To continue the scenario let's say the human just grabbed the borrower without thinking much and closed the bunker, making sure they were safe, but later? What would the human do? Suppose the tornado did or didn't go over their house, what if it did go over the house? Okay that's enough of this 🥹

The other scenario would be storm chasers borrowers, unless they have tiny vehicles in that world I was thinking of a borrower and their human friends going storm chasing, maybe they're all professionals, maybe amateurs, what if they're those people with bug looking tanks that are made to be inside(?) tornadoes. Maybe the humans could be professionals and this is the first time the borrower does this, what if a debris ends up breaking the window and the glass shards nearly miss the borrower 🙂🙂🙂🙂

I love fluff. I LOVE gentle giants. Would I be the most gentle giant in the universe? Of course. Do I LIVE for those friendships? Heck yeah! Would I DIE for the gt family relationships? Obviously. GT fluff is just..

But do I still love angst and fearplay more? Do I enjoy the feeling of fear I feel as I read the tinies perspective?
