GRUMPY SNAKPOD

Grumpy Snakpod is, probably the most interesting Snakpod of all, at least to me! If you are reading this blog I assume you are a Bugsnax fan and therefore know what a Grumpus is, but if you are unaware, they are large, furry, Muppet-like monster creatures that fulfill the role of humans in this world, living mostly in similar ways. This Snakpod is directly linked to them, as it is a bag of gummy Grumpuses, possibly based on a snack exclusive to their world!

I love how the Snakifications of Snakpods allow you to see what the internal contents look like, and here Floofty demonstrates what the gummy Grumpuses look like out of the bag! (They note that these do not taste anything like the real thing) I am realizing that there are purple instead of green ones in the transformations, but a green one in place of a purple one on the bag... I never noticed before! Which was first? I don’t know! But notice the specific pose of these gummies!

While not the same model, it is the same pose as seen on the Grumpus-shaped honey bottles! These are, of course, based on the real bear-shaped honey bottles, and not only that, the most conventional equivalent we have to gummy Grumpuses would be gummy bears! That is TWO instances establishing a similarity between Grumpuses and BEARS of all things, and aside from this they’re never really likened to any particular animal, aside from an early, entirely different, frog-like design. I wouldn’t even think to link them to bears without this! It is fascinating.
