This picture was taken on May 16th 2013 at approximately 21.45 from a viewpoint within Altnaharra Caravan Club Site which is situated just below the historic village of Grummore or Mekle Gnowb as it was known in 1551
Grummore was cleared of all its residents (32 families) during the Highland Clearances in Strathnaver between 1813 and 1819.
The picture shows Loch Naver in the foreground, Ben Klibreck, a munro, in the background and Altnaharra in the far distance at the end of the loch.
An unexpected but beautiful sunset provided an opportunity to catch many such moments in digital image form.
