Biology and amazing facts
I accidentally found interesting information about human biology:
"Manβs best friend is more closely related to humans than you may think. The common dog, scientifically classified as Canis lupus familiaris, shares a surprising amount of genetic code with humans β approximately 84%.
Note that the high percentage of shared DNA between humans and dogs does not suggest humans are 84% canine. Instead, it conveys that there are many similarities between the genetic sequences that make up their respective genomes."
"Scientists estimate that humans and dogs share about 84% of their DNA. We have over 17,000 similar genes[...]"
"Humans and dogs share more than 80% of their DNA. Humans and cats share almost 90%."
"Chimpanzees are our closest relative as a species and we share at least 98.8% of our genome with them.[...]with dogs it is 82%[...]"
I've felt really euphoric about this and started thinking that this information might be enough for me to consider myself a biological dog(at least partially). I'm aware that when it comes to my own identity I'm really prejudiced and scared of what others will think of me. Anyways, interacting with the community is helping me A LOT with these thoughts.
P.S: I don't know if that's clear, but I DO SUPPORT physical and biological nonhumans. I'm just insecure about myself.
