Doesn't make it ok, or right. It's a sensitive subject for me, it's hard for me. People I care about have been affected by what society considers acceptable 'because everyone does it.' It makes me angry that people use that as an excuse. Everyone does it? SO WHAT?! That doesn't make it ok.
It's just really upsetting for me, it always has, but now it's even more so because of things that have happened in my life. People have been hurt because of stupid decisions and all of these could have been avoided. So, no, 'everybody does it.' is not an acceptable excuse. >.<
