In today's day, social media has become successful, especially when we are in the midst of a pandemic in which people cannot simply go out and have face-to-face conversations. Others may utilize social media to hold conversations and maintain ties with people no matter how far apart they reside. Social media has become very popular in our situation today because we can easily acquire information in just one click on whatever social media platforms we use, but we must first evaluate the information because we know that not all information from the internet is factual, and we still have some factors to consider when acquiring information from the internet. Aside from that, many individuals use social media for enjoyment and posting, browsing on different social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other platforms to avoid boredom since we cannot go out. On the other hand, as users of social media, we can't deny that we love how effective and efficient it is in many aspects, sometimes without realizing the drawbacks that might lead to major and catastrophic events. Social media aided us, Generation Z, in our daily lives. It terraformed the internet's invisible world. Social media had assisted us in connecting with individuals who were geographically far from us and in creating a feeling of community that promoted pluralism throughout the world. Social media has produced a more varied world than any other country. Not only did it link us socially, but it also presented us with a wealth of knowledge with the touch of a button. Everyone has been given information, and people are becoming more aware of the world around them. However, despite these numerous benefits, there is an unnoticed aspect of social media that most of us are unaware of. We are being controlled by an unexpected factor. The ones made by humans manipulated us. We are a puppet directed by a puppeteer, and we are all blind. Manipulation is bracketed by fake news. Fake news is being distributed to us, acting as a catalyst for us to enter the chaotic environment. Many negative aspects of social media are being overshadowed by its good effects on our lives. We should begin to be skeptical to provide ourselves with the tools we need to resist these disadvantages.

As I look at the view in front,

the sky is as blue as the sea.

People do not hunt,

the animals run free.

There is no constant fear

when you are all alone.

Whenever someone’s near

you come out of your zone

Fresh air and clean water

dancing trees and spacious ways;

back then, these are all that matter

time flies really fast these days

But as promising as these seem

it was all just a dream

I can only imagine

what life would be 

in the near future.

There is no guarantee 

streets that are not crowded, 

air that is free from pollution. 

Children having fun,

women feeling safe about themselves.

A government that leads, 

a government ready to serve its people.

I can only imagine

for in the near future,

this might never happen.
