Concrete as far as the eye can see-- and it almost feels like someone filled as much of the space as possible with potted plants in an attempt to remedy the situation.
At least there's plenty of sunlight. So much so that the center of the ground floor is actually more of a courtyard. Whoever was maintaining the greenery has had to fight tooth and nail against the desire paths that cut their way around the corners of grass.
Otherwise, it's like a very controlled and manicured version of the forest outside. Sculpted pine trees, floral bushes, and soft grass grace the gently sunlit area.
A fountain with an austere modern aesthetic gently bubbles at the center of the courtyard. It’s kind of pretentious, isn’t it?
Glass walls and skylights line the inner and outer areas of the lounge, providing a clear look from the courtyard to the surrounding lake. Along the inner wall runs two long bar counters, with stools interspersed. There’s plenty of tables and chairs here, almost comfortable enough to nap on.
Adjacent to the lounge is a fully equipped industrial kitchen, and a bar with fully stocked cabinets.
A new stand has been set up in the lounge by the kitchen. The sign says "Tex-Mex Pilates"...?
There's a whole counter for smoothie making! It's got sliced fruit, yogurt, granola, and even some super foods like chia seeds, basil seeds, leafy greens, and so on. There's also some blenders, prep stations, and cup washers!
On the nearby wall is-- oh. Actual Pilates exercise equipment. Some pull down benches and mats! Nice.
One of the two large meeting rooms on the ground floor, except this space appears to be frequently inhabited by one of the department reps at any given moment. Good luck reserving this space for your own purposes.
The Task Board lives in this room. It's a board with tasks. Probably a problem for future you.
This meeting room is actually vacant most of the time. Just... good luck actually getting the projectors to cooperate. There's a console in the center of the table with a billion display adapters and cords. The speakers work half the time. The lights turn on with motion sensors, but auto-shut off in 15 minutes if nobody's moving enough.
