I know you're talking about Green Grinch, but I think Eddie is naturally very "grinchy" about Christmas, haha. I mean, he'll definitely put on a Santa hat and tease you for a kiss when you walk too close to the mistletoe, but I bet he hates the commercialism of it.

He also has a natural distrust of the "holiday spirit", thinks it's all a crock of shit, and gets very grumpy at the way it all gets forced down his throat everywhere he goes.

But then he meets you. You're not into Christmas for religious reasons, per se, but you have really good memories of that time of year with your family and want to share it with him. You make him watch your favorite holiday movies, and there are a few that he actually enjoys and wants to watch the following year. You make him an ugly, festive sweater that he unpacks with ceremonial flare every December 1st, "time to bring the big guns out." He decorates his first tree since he was a kid with you, and you teach him how to lay on the ground, under the boughs, and stare up into the lights. He makes a spiked eggnog for Wayne in a reindeer glass, and his uncle looks up at him like, who are you and what have you done with my nephew. You both decide to make each other gifts, instead of buy them, and one of the presents you receive is always a mix tape of all of the songs that reminded him of you that year.
