i have a lot of feelings about the unova elite four and how they're all a little eccentric about their "thing" and how that allows someone like grimsley who is scarcely present, usually a bit of an elusive enigma of a bastard, to go about his self-sabotaging antics without anyone really saying anything against it. they know each other, they surely encounter one another often enough to discuss things relevant to the elite four ( not that grims gets actively involved in anything unless he /wants/ to ) but other than that most of them follow their own individual paths without apologizing for it.
#they are collaborators in some regards but they don't ?? not get along aslkdj they just aren't /close/#whenever i talk about grimsley it's usually to say he's not really close to people#and how when he's given the chance to with alder or with lucy#there's so many other facets to him#he just likes to show this one side because it's his /best/ side#grimsley.#i had to come out of reminiscence and ground myself#by thinking about pokemon bc the past makes me feel weird
