walk like me, talk like me. + grimm
Usai pursed her lips and sighed as she watched her victim sail through the air, too far away from her to reach easily. The little ‘trick’ she had learned from Alivander was coming in handy, but controlling it… that was another mess altogether. Even when she thought she was being gentle… Her victims had been dying of internal bleeding and snapped necks more than by the edge of her sword for a month. You would think she would be pleased… at least they were dead. But the phantom in her craved their fear. Their hushed begging for mercy. The light leaving their eyes as they took their final breath on this plane. Death by brutal falling gave her nothing.
She huffed as she heard the muffled groaning, her pace quickening as she moved to follow her victim. They were still trying to get away… how optimistic of them. Maybe she could try, one more tiny time. Just enough to drag them back to her. The scream of surprise as they dragged down the dirt road turned her lips into a smile behind her terrifying mask… and distracted her with glee long enough that the criminal was now twenty yards in the opposite direction. Another sigh, this one through her nose as she took off at a run, leaping high into the air when she was close enough that she could land on top of the disgusting creature. Giving it one last look at her ‘face’ before she cut off his head.
“Time-consuming, that’s all it is,” she grumbled softly, referring to the telekinesis she had tried to perform. [ Though, technically, she was successful. ] Her hands went for the man’s pockets, emptying them easily and tossing what little more there was after the coin had been deposited into her pouch. Another criminal who was smart enough to hide his valuables. Sigh. With one last glace at the body she stood and kicked it roughly to the side. No need for the corpse to be a burden in death as it was in life. “Don’t worry, a reaper will come for you and you’ll be dragged straight to hell.”
