some trees i drew recently
Drawing this is bringing me so much joy. I'm using paint sticks meant for toddlers and it's soooo satisfying. Buttery like oil pastels, but it dries in seconds so there's no accidental smudging. It's semi-transparent and buildable like acrylic paints, but I don't have to deal with cleaning brushes or disposing of paint water. I can scoop it with a palette knife and smear it like oil pastels, but there's no mess to clean up. I would only work in this medium and nothing else if I could, but the only downside is that it's not archival.

I should've done more planning before jumping into this illustration! It started out as a way to test out the waterproof purple ink i just acquired--this is just a sketchbook page!!--but then I got invested. If I have time, I want to chuck this into Illustrator (π€’) and make a graphic from it. I'll probably change the background though, the trees ain't doing it for me.
