They are both seen as ring leaders, they’re both controlling of others while terrible with self control. They’re both self absorbed and overly emotional with fragile egos. They both suffer from binge eating disorder and use sex to their advantage. They’re both creative - they’re both cute little scrapbook girlies - and they are both calculated, entitled, and conceited. Everyone around them follows their orders, but they’re also dumber than people think and easily manipulated. They are both vain and obsessed with body image, they can both turn on the charm when they need to, and they have matching resting bitch faces.

Mac McDonald: Cady Heron

They are both two-faced, sycophantic and obsessive, particularly with one specific person. They are both overbearing and always find ways to climb to the top for their own benefit. They’re both more manipulative than they come across, and they are both deceitful and untrustworthy. They both kinda came from nothing, and were originally pure of heart. They both lie and use people, while acting as though they are innocent. They are both sly and conniving in more underhanded ways, and they are both unreliable. Both their initial intentions are often good, and they both have a habit of both play both sides so that they always come out on top.

Dee Reynolds: Gretchen Weiners

They are both very jealous people, and they both get egregiously sidelined. They both go out of their way to defend someone that doesn’t give them the same respect, and are pushed around in spite of being feisty at their cores. They have both been beaten into submission and lost who they are along the way, and they’re both deeply insecure. They both turn on people quickly and they are both happy to throw anyone under the bus if it means they will get what they want. They are both often left out, and neither of them are ever taken seriously by their peers.

Charlie Kelly: Karen Smith

Respectfully, both are dumb, but also both not quite as dumb as everyone seems to think. They are both the most likeable in their circle and both rarely engage in the same conflict that the others do. They both have interesting brains and they both are illiterate and blatantly struggle academically. They both stray from societal norms in varying ways, and they are both favored the most by the “ring leader”. They are both uninterested in what everyone else around them seems to be caught up in and they are also the most reliable and straightforward.

[DISCLAIMER]: when including the side characters, I do believe the dynamic changes a little and would personally swap Dee and Mac - Dee would become Cady to match Artemis and the Waitress, and Mac would become Gretchen meaning that charmacden would be the plastics - but what I have written above is how I see the main four.
