We first met Asher Levine in the summer of 2010. We spent weeks with the New York-based designer as he prepped to debut his Spring 2011 collection. Those hyper, hectic weeks included a trip upstate to shoot an original short film for his presentation, a live fashion installation crafted in-studio in front of an audience, and many quiet moments in the studio, absorbed in the work of making the visions in his head become real.
This time around, we decided to dive right in on the night of his F/W ‘14 presentation downtown. It’s been over 3 years. Asher is still pushing the limits. Asher is still challenging himself, and his team, to dream a little bigger – to create. Asher continues to approach fashion in a very organic way, it’s art. Nature is still his muse, the future is still his muse. The one thing we can never seem to predict is the product, the designs – always keeping us on our toes and in awe.
