Free Comic Book Day 2018 Reviews
Barrier by Brain K. Vaughn, Marcos Martin, Muntsa Vicente
Definetny interesting, even though some of the spnaish felt off to me, I think it would read better in trade but the cliff hanger did get to me good first issue. Sets up the tone nicely along with the coloring.
Berlin by Jason Lutes
Not as splashy as the titles Iām sue to , I found it interesting but itās a tad too long for my taste and given the subject matter I canāt imagine how fun this would be to read.Ā
Bobās BurgersĀ
My favorite story was Bizarre Bazaar. Bob and Louise buy some magical pineapples from a woman at the farmers market and everyone who eats them becomes obsessed with eating more of them.Ā
DC SuperHero Girls by Shea Fontana, Yancey Labat
Cute! I love this series and itās another cute story that continues in itās monthly comic.Ā
The Wormworld SagaĀ by Daniel Lieske
It failed to grab me, but it is an interesting premise and probably reads better in trade.
The Mall by Don Hanfield & James Haick III, Rafael Loureiro
Meh. The dialogue and concept is good but the female characters are an after thought.Ā
Miraculous Adventures of Ladybug & Cat Noir
Cute, first story, and the second story was a reprint.
Starburn PresentsĀ
Out of the four samples given I found Dan Harmon & Eric M. Esquivel Superman-esque Gregory Graves the most interesting. I am always down fro any superman stories and this was just a great beginning. I was upset that I wasnāt able to read more. A murderous Mason looking Luthor and a ginger haired superman called Luminary.Ā
