“What we do, when and for how long we do it”, Gregor Vogel in the 24hrs project

A public apero will be taking place on Wednesday 18th of October at 7pm. Join us for drinks and snacks then ;) Gregor Vogel (1993) is a multimedia artist based in Zürich. Using multiple platforms and formats, his practice trespasses the borders between mediums. He is currently working with installation, sound and performance. Exploring the natural state of things, Vogel investigates the constructed and cultural rules of his chosen mediums. Attempting to identify the core and the relevance of the structures at play, he looks for the balance between the essential and the ornament. In the recent work „here“ he used a pure data patch to create a sound piece that didn’t rely on predominant musical arrangements. For the 24hrs Project, Vogel presents „What we do, when and for how long we do it“, an installation using a site- and time-specific process. Being aware of the audience as a potential component, the artist invites the visitors to speed up or slow down the procedure at play within the work, investigating the relation between time and space.
