Jane bit her lip, flipping through the stack of files left on her desk. Most of them only needed a signature or an initial. Others.. she would have to spend longer on picking her way through. She heaved a sighed pulling the first few papers off the stack and skimming them before giving them her signature. Jane continued on, a letter here, a name there.
It was a mundane process, simple, easy to do. Though she couldn't help but let her mind wander as she worked. Of all the people that she could have stumbled upon, it had to be Loki. One thing had led to another and she had asked him to come stay with her. Why? because he had promised her answers. But was she really that crazy that she would ask a known war criminal to bunk with her? Obviously yes, because she hadn't looked back since he'd moved in.
Sighing, she gathered together the papers, dropping them onto a desk. Jane rubbed her eyes, the stress of everything had begun to weight down on her, but she was getting the answers she needed, Jane endured it. She heard a door open, and shut loudly behind it. most likely Loki coming back from whatever he'd done that day. Jane thought better of it than to ask what he did in his spare time.
"Loki?" she called out. "That you?"
