OLIMPIA ZAGNOLI E I GREEN LIKE JULY
Qualche settimana fa ho avuto modo di conoscere di persona, anche se per poche battute, Olimpia Zagnoli una delle illustratrici italiane che più apprezzo.
Uno stile ricercatissimo, il suo, un po' flat, un po' iconico ma di certo diretto ed efficace. Consiglio di leggere "Il mondo è tuo" con testi di Riccardo Bozzi edito da Terre di mezzo: un libro breve ma intensissimo che parla di libertà.
La coerenza formale di Oz non delude nemmeno nei coloratissimi video musicali per la band Green Like July curati puntualmente dalla Zagnoli. Nel videoclip Borrowed Time le sue illustrazioni si animano a ritmo di musica.
Grazie alla Zagnoli scopro e apprezzo la musica dei Green Like July che di recente ho intervistato per frizzifrizzi. Il mio pezzo preferito del gruppo è senz'altro Agatha of Sicily e non sto a spiegarvi il perché.
