There had been far to much commotion in town as of late. With the Franky family, that was no big surprise, but things had seemed even more animated than usual. That was usually his cue to pack up and leave, but before he could so much as get half way to the docks, the silhouette of a familiar ship had stopped him in his tracks.
Sure, it was badly beat apart and useless, but it was the same ship: the Going Merry. Kuro turned his ass right around the second he realized this, holing up in the bar until further notice. Blueno had asked questions, but it was a little known fact between them that everyone had a secret or two, so nothing really came of it. Regardless, it had the lithe man on edge, and it showed. His demeanor was more rigid, eyes even colder than usual, and a stance that a statue would be jealous of.
Needless to say, he’d been keeping a close eye on everyone who came into the bar. Of course, the second he had to turn away and serve another man’s drink was the one time he didn’t notice the door open.
