Another green initiative that I've started at my office is to save all of the boxes and then at the end of the month I either trade them on @bunzcity or give them away on freecycle. I'm proud to be the Green Ambassador for The Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study with @sustainableuoft. The Green Ambassadors are staff, faculty, and graduate students from across @uoft who work to make their offices more environmentally friendly. We meet monthly and maintain an email list to share ideas, goals,and challenges with each other. The @cityofto doesn't recycle coffee cups but the good news is that @uoft does. When on campus the lids go in plastic recyling, the cups go in the specific coffee cup recycling bin and the sleeves go in with the paper recycling. Check out the photo for more clarification.
