Gwenvid Grease/50s AU
Hello Guys!! :D As you can see we are still Alive! Srry again for the long hiatus but Nutter butters( @thecakeswithnocream ) and I are back and were coming back swinging with the Grease/50s AU!
This AU was inspired by the song Summer Nights from the movie version of Grease. So basically Grease’s version of the 50s with a little touch of historical accuracy (not much since were trying to keep this light hearted).
To start off we got Momgwen! Yay :D!!!
In this AU Gwen is Max’s biological Tia. Gwen immigrates to the US with her father, Louis, when she’s 15, shortly after the passing of her mother. Staying with her Tios and Tias in the States while Louis continues his music career. Gwen’s cousin is pregnant with Max and shortly after having him takes off, leaving Max in the care of 15 year old Gwen. Louis took legal custody but Gwen raises Max, as Louis is busy touring.
Note: Her Tios and Tias run a family-owned Garage/mechanic shop
(Maxamillion Javian Sanchez) =Max, In this AU Max is half Mexican half Hindi, Mexican on his mother’s side. His parents didn’t know each other long, with his father leaving before he was even born. So he has his mother’s last name. Max is a smart kid, but he doesn’t really see the point of school or why Gwen wants him to go so bad. However she convinces him to go, but shortly after arriving on the campus he decides “ya, fuck this” and tries to leave, but unfortunately gets caught. Leading to a parent teacher conference between his Tia Gwen and his new teacher, Mr. Greenwood (David). Not helping Max’s newfound situation is his Tia becoming the new teaching assistant, Ms.Santos (Gwen) (credit to @forestwater87 for the last names). Making anymore escape attempts pretty much impossible. Max has a huge love for Elvis, often found jamming to it, using the broom as an air guitar. There was that one time Gwen caught him singing and dancing to Jailhouse rock, which if you ask him ‘It Never happened’.
Now for what you all been waiting for GWENVID!!! Plot twist, this gonna be a slow burn! So prepárate para el chisme!
Summer loving happened so fast, with Gwen and David meeting at the beach. She saves David from drowning, and as a thank you for saving him he offers to take her out for lunch. It then begins the start of many friend-ly dates, they often meet up at the pier going out for picnics or just to see things around town. Gwen growing to like him more and more with each date. But alas all good things must come to an end, leaving a yellow bandana and just maybe a Kiss *gasps in Spanish* (Escandaloso!!!) as a parting gift.
But fortunately fate had other plans. After Max gets caught in the middle of attempting to escape school, Gwen meets his homeroom teacher, David Greenwood. Although awkward at first, they somehow manage to settle things like adults.(By awkwardly ignoring whatever happened between them). David offers Gwen the position of teacher’s assistant, which she takes as a golden opportunity to keep Max from bailing again, and with the sweet benefit of David offering to help her get a scholarship.
Note:Gwen’s eager to accept a scholarship, since she never got to finish school
So that’s the start of our story for now.
