Hypokits time- used a Warriors ship perchance thing to get this pairing (honestly it’s a cute idea tbh). Gonna make a story forgive me it’s been a long time since I read a book from the series.
Graystripe happened to come with Fireheart once when he was visiting his sister, and found himself being close to the kittypet. She was amazed by his and Fireheart’s stories about living in the Clans, it was easy for him to become attached to her. And she- well Princess was just wooed by the wild cat who would come and visit her. She probably felt like she was in some romantic tale or something.
Instead of Graystripe hooking up with Silverstream (they’re instead good friends), he became mates with Princess. Fireheart who like in the books isn’t happy with his forbidden relationship ship. But he likes seeing his sister happy after the break up with Cloudpaw’s father. Which when Cloudpaw starts visiting he’s also sort of disgusted by the fact that this guy is mooning over his mom.
Of course Princess is soon to have kits again, and has these two- who no doubt went by different names before they moved to the Clans. Which leads to the same disappointment in Graystripe for having border babies. They keep it a secret that it was Princess who had the kits (she already gave them one kit, and they were supposed to not see her after that. This would make it bad).
They’re named Sparrowkit and Minnowkit. Sparrowkit is a Jack (enby) and Minnowkit is a Tom. They become the foster siblings to Willowpelt’s kits who had just been born. Or Goldenflower’s- I’m not sure how old they would be.
Sparrowpaw is the calmer of the two, while Minnowpaw is a loud baby, he’s probably a trouble maker. Sparrowpaw just has to deal with their brother’s nonsense and try to soothe whatever problems he causes. Sparrowpaw is mentored by Brightheart and Minnowpaw by Cloudtail. They love visiting their mom, but know to keep their mouths shut about it- though Minnowpaw wishes they could.
Unfortunately they don’t make it to their Warriors-ship. I know in GV there was an issue with BloodClan? So maybe they didn’t make it past BloodClan scuffle. Maybe caught out alone by a bunch of BloodClan cats, and murdered to try and scare the Clan cats. It didn’t work of course, and Graystripe just had another motive to fight them.
Once Firestar returns, neither him, Graystripe and Cloudtail know how to bring it up to Princess. Graystripe might’ve eventually though it tore him apart to tell her. If they’d made it to be warriors maybe they’d be…. Sparrowcloud and Minnowbelly? Or something like that
