i donāt have many pieces at the moment, so here are random excerpts
āLook at it,ā The Doctor said, his voice low. āLook how petty your life is, all of your squabbles and wars, and look.ā He shook the politician, tilting him further out of the door of the TARDIS. āItās all there, yeah? All of it, time and space and everything in-between. Billions of lives out there and living in the same space, and you can barely give a piece of your heart to any of them. You donāt really care about them, or how this is your only home, do you? So many people, and you donāt give a damn about what happens to them. You pretend you canāt hear their wishes and screams and chatter, but I hear it all.ā
In a fluid motion, he threw the politician back in the inside of the TARDIS with a flick of his wrist.
āEntropy is dragging its nails down the fabric of life, tearing it away, and it thanks you for helping.ā
- global consciousness, a doctor who fic centered around the Edgar Mitchell quote.Ā
Devin helped him sit back down into the hardback chair. āYeah, āthatās itā isĀ the culmination of a monthās work of delicate psychotropicĀ magic being done,ā he said dryly. He crooked a finger under Jasperās chin, guiding his face up so their gazes could meet. āNow for the moment of truth ā who are you, really?ā
Your eyes, Jasper wanted to say, something itching at the edge of a memory. He knew those dark brown eyes, and not just from the person heād been seeing for the last month. Instead, he said, āDo you recognize anything?ā Ā He shook his head from side to side, finding something off about his voice. He blinked a few times to be sure, but the feeling stayed, like...coming back to a place you havenāt been to in years, and seeing the memories embedded in the walls, the familiarity greeting you and youāre home, youāre home, youāre home⦠His heart was expanding with the feeling of it all. It was right there at the tip of his tongue. A name. A person. A feeling. He could almost taste it.
Devin squinted. He tilted his head to the side, moving closer and sliding his hand to touch the side of Jasperās face. There was a charge in the dusty air of the apartment ā a spark of sudden recognition. Ā āItās you, isnāt?ā he asked in a low voice.
- the many yous, an original urban fantasy. story about curses, immortality, and identity.Ā
The apartment building was made of old red brick with dark shutters closed over windows, and ivy dripping from the flower boxes. White columns stood on either side of the heavy door, age Ā and weather cracking the stone in strange patterns. The door had a protective covering of metal that curled in an elegant Victorian style.
Isaac placed a hand on the metal sign that was placed into the brick - the words The Stacks were engraved into it in a neat print. āWelcome to my home,ā he said. He walked up the steps, continuing, āBuilt in the 1600s, it has obviously gone through some stylistic changes since, but itās still a clearing house for the local community.ā
- the gray road, another original urban fantasy story and set in the same world as the many yous.Ā
The water was freezing into ice over her clothes and skin, the universe thinning as the scent of petrichor and ashes grew thick with her magic. She closed a hand around the quincunx, feeling it acting as a conduit for her power, the universe flowing through her to follow her command.
The spaces between universes thinned to a veneer of light inside the circle. The sand around it burned, but the air remained cold as the body slowly began to drown beneath sand and light, sinking lower and lower until the circle was empty again, and the world resumed when the message on Juneās arms vanished with another itch running down her skin.
That was when she allowed herself to drop to her knees, gasping for breath. The spell was over. Her work was done.
It was time to bring on the next one.
- disturb the universe, original urban fantasy (same world as the others) and was liked enough to be in the campus lit mag.Ā
Help, the card read. The brassy coating grew hot as the words vanished and more appeared over the surface in a neat and careful hand. The books are mating! I need nets and emotional support.
Olivia blinked. She read the message again. She pocketed her library card and raised her hand, thankful the disaster was happening during her study hall. āMr. Hendricks, can I go to the library?ā
- theĀ drownedĀ book, see above but with a middle grade focus on a group of student librarians.Ā
Yeah, I have this literary world I've been creating for the better part of the last two or three years, and the details still aren't coming together? And so are the plots? Because of this, I have three books in mind, each with a specific focus and cast of characters.Ā

She kicked at one who lunged at her, and dove to side to avoid another hit. With her back against the trunk of a tree, June snapped a long branch off and held it in her hands.Ā She knew from experience that hitting things worked almost as well as an exorcism.
āWell met, you corrupted assholes!ā she snarled, changing the customary greeting.
And she began to bash as many nature spirits that she could with the branch.
Half of June Hayesā job was talking and convincing strange things to stop, and the other half was hitting the strange things when talking wasnāt good enough.
