So I was wondering if a spirit you meet randomly (at a graveyard, out wondering etc) could become a guide? Or if it ends up in your life would it just be a companion? For the record I don’t have plans to invite a spirit into my life but if I did I’m not a baby witch I just don’t work with spirits.
A valid wondering! I think both are absolutely possible; a companion (more of a personal, day-to-day friendship with a spirit) or a guide (a spirit that has a specific wisdom to impart on you in your life journey).
Keep in mind both of these types do require consent on both parties sides so it isn’t something to worry about accidentally happening- if a spirit follows you around without your permission you absolutely should banish it. But it is possible to establish that consent with a spirit you happen upon rather than one you seek out.
I will say I would find it more unusual for a guide; only because in my experience with guides it’s never been a truly random occurrence that we happen upon each other. The guide has something they want to offer so they were seeking me or waiting for me to search for them. But it could appear random at first!
