Today is tallow rendering day. An unglamorous, but vital step in making this wonderful soaping ingredient. We picked up about 20 lbs of this gorgeous beef suet from @markegardfamilygrassfed and will be refining it into tallow for our Loma Mar, Big Basin and Bonny Doon bars. You can already tell its going to make excellent bars by its beautifully crumbly texture.
